Brooke Laizure Named as Top 5 Finalist – Female Roofing Professional of the Year 2024

BROOKE LAIZURE has been named as a Top 5 finalist for Female Roofing Professional of the Year 2024, a contest that recognizes distinguished women for their work in the roofing industry. The contest is sponsored by Beacon Building Products, the largest publicly traded distributor of roofing materials and complementary building products in the United States and Canada.

Brooke Laizure is the owner of Whirlwind Roofing and Construction, LLC, a Native American and woman-owned business that is a Fortified™ Home designated roofing company.

Brooke is also a founding member of National Women in Roofing (NWIR) and she also helped co-found the NWIR Oklahoma Council in 2019 where she currently serves as chair. Through National Women in Roofing, she participates in Build My Future, a one-day construction career day in Tulsa and Oklahoma City for high school students that offers interactive, hands-on exhibits from organizations in the skilled trades. Brooke loves watching kids that have never held a hammer learn how to shingle a roof and sharing the limitless career opportunities for them.

Brooke is a supporter of Women Accessing Non-Traditional Trades (WANTT), a member of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce, and served as a board member for the Oklahoma Roofing Contractors Association (ORCA).

Brooke is also passionate about her own education. She is one of only a handful of roofing contractors in Oklahoma with Xactimate Level 3 certification, the complicated software insurance companies use to settle storm damage claims. Using her knowledge, Brooke works with customers to ensure they get everything they need to repair their property.

Voting is open to the public until June 5, and will announce the Grand Prize Winner on June 14. Four finalists will be receiving a $1000 prize, and the grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 prize.
